Zipline Tours

Adventure awaits in the treetops at Long Hollow Canopy Tours! Our Zipline Tour near Galena, Illinois, is the perfect way to experience the great outdoors in a unique and exciting way. The 2 to 2.5-hour tour includes:

  • A fun UTV ride on our off-road trails to start the tour
  • 6 ziplines, the longest of which is 1,250-feet long!
  • Rappel 40-feet from a tree-based platform to the forest floor
  • Cross a 140-foot suspended “sky bridge” to access the final (and longest!) zipline
  • Optional “free-fall” jump from the final platform – or choose to rappel to the ground
  • Unforgettable adventure!

What to Expect

The tour begins with a thrilling UTV ride through the woods, as you make your way to the first platform. From there, embark on an exhilarating journey, with each of our six ziplines getting progressively longer as you go. Reaching speeds of up to 40 mph and heights of 75 feet above the forest floor, you’re in for a real thrill!

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. You’ll rappel off a platform during the tour, and also cross a 140-foot sky bridge to reach the final zipline — which is a breathtaking 1,250 feet long! For the ultimate adrenaline rush, you can choose to do the QuickJump Free Fall to exit the tour, or stick with a traditional Rappel. Either way, the final leap is sure to be a memorable end to an unforgettable adventure!

We take safety seriously at Long Hollow Canopy Tours. Every tour is given an orientation on safety and braking before beginning on the first zipline. Each guest wears a waist and shoulder harness with lanyards that are attached to steel cables at all times while up at height. Our tour is guided by two trained canopy guides to ensure an enjoyable and thrilling experience.

The Zipline Tour is approximately 2 1/2 hours of pure fun and adventure. So, come join us in the treetops and experience the rush of a lifetime! Book your tour today and see what all the buzz is about.

Everything you take on course is at your own risk, as items may become lost or broken.

Have a GoPro? We have the helmet mount! If you have the attachment piece, just ask your guide for a helmet with a GoPro mount. Mounts are available first-come, first-serve. You are also welcome to wear the chest mount over your harness or the helmet strap attached to one of our helmets.
